INTRODUCTION

SharePoint E-portfolio is a student-centered platform which is augmented by a total integration to a full-blown LMS in MS SharePoint 2007.

 

E-portfolio enables students to:

- create and customize portfolios for academic, career or personal use;

- maintain their plan of study;

- share their work, goals and achievements with advisors, career counselors and employers.

- view portfolio comments posted by faculty, departments, and institutions.

 

What is included?

Using SharePoint E-portfolio students, employees and others can have their portfolio (blog, calendar, personal info, documents etc.) online. Advanced access control will let the user decide who will be able to read and comment at the portfolio.

A lot of configuration features like the ability to upload files to portfolio, calendar and events by users and many others!

Enhancements are released approximately every 3 months.

Security 

SharePoint E-portfolio is a password-protected solution. All sensitive data are taken from Microsoft Active Directory. No portfolio or user information is accessible for internal or external search engines.

Web-based

Files in any electronic format (audio, visual, textual, graphical, mathematical) can be uploaded as part of a portfolio.

LMS Integration

SharePoint E-portfolio is integrated with SharePointLMS allowing for Single Sign-On. In addition students within SharePoint E-portfolio are able to select previously uploaded files in the SharePointLMS system to be included in their electronic portfolio.

Institutional Brand

SharePoint E-portfolio Makes use of the institution’s logo and name. Institutional links can be added where appropriate.

Tutorials and Help

A comprehensive Help manual is available online in Word and PDF formats. Extensive help menus are available on each page for help specific to that area as are video demonstrations for many of the topics.

Multilingual use

 

Allows selecting your language of preference for text labels and messages.
